So You Want to Do Masterwork Professions...
The following videos will help you begin Masterwork Professions to help assist you in raising astral diamonds for your toons. For assistance in starting a profession, consult with Feygorn of Neverwinter Geeks. The Geeks also have the Explorers Hall that significantly increases your ability to raise resources for your chosen profession.
Profile of A Great Tank
Below is a list of invaluable attributes of a great tank:
- A great tank always has top aggro on all targets that they are assigned to tank, and not on any other targets.
- A great tank has excellent reaction time in picking up new mobs, before these mobs attack other raid members.
- A great tank has excellent reaction time on taunting back targets that they lose aggro of (which happens to everyone at one time or another).
- A great tank is intimately familiar with all the fight mechanics, and because of this, knows when and where to move, and when and how to use their defensive (and sometimes offensive) cooldowns.
- A great tank understands the various positional requirements of (especially melee) DPS players, and does a good job at minimizing their movement and downtime.
- A great tank has the qualities of a leader, and is not shy to step up and take control of the group.
- In addition to this, as tanks are the drivers of the party or raid group, a tank who is able to set a fast pace will make the dungeon or raid go extremely smoothly and quickly.

Council of Templars Meeting Minutes
August 12, 2018
There was a quorum of members. Perseus and Lia were not able to attend.
Fennik led the meeting. He thanked the members for their hard work in helping make GT a level 20 guild with a nearly completed Stronghold. All that is left to complete are support structures which will be built as resources are made available via coffer donations. Guild members will be asked not to contribute influence to our coffer but instead donate it to the new helm guild, RC.
Fennik noted that GT has stepped down as the Alliance helm guild and RC has taken our place. Therefore, the Alliance is now known as the Ruathym Corsairs Alliance. GT now has a gauntlet position. Discussion ensued as to why InSanes left the Alliance. Fennik reported that their guildmaster, Ishtar, was not happy with the direction in which the Alliance was moving in organizing itself as a more efficient and effective council. Xerxes reported that Ishtar contacted him about their leaving and suggested that language problems and cultural differences were also part of the reason why they left. Xerxes noted the need for GT members to be sensitive to cultural differences and language barriers by speaking slowly on TS and by not using colloquialisms in written and spoken communications.
Fennik reported that GTBank is functioning well and that the guild has many resources and Astral Diamonds on hand. He requested that Xerxes continue to use his luck in opening lockboxes using the daily VIP key.
Mrs Toons, guild banker, noted that the guild bank is often difficult to keep clean as she can only move a certain almount of articles from one repository tab to another in any given day. Therefore, Fennik will change the bank settings so marshalls will be able to move or remove more items each day.
Dusk was thanked for his consistent service to the guild as a Battlemaster.
Xerxes noted that he stepped down as co-Grand Master for personal reasons. However, he will continue to serve the guild as needed as a Marshall by maintaining the guild blog and other duties as requested by the guildmasters.
Elections were held in which Dusk and Haelirin were elected by unanimous vote as co-Grand Masters along with Fennik. Fennik requested that the new GM's promote their own alt characters to rank 7 status to avoid the accidental promotion of other toons which could place the guild in jeopardy of being hijacked by an outsider.
Xerxes noted that the guild is very active with a full roster of active members. He will continue to maintain the roster and recruit new members. He reported that the New Member Code on the guild blog has been effective in introducing new recruits to the blog and in learning how to participate in a dragonflight. Xerxes requested that new members be of 10K+ IL and that they have "good" gear; meaning that they have their enchant slots filled, have appropriate artifacts and artifact gear, etc. Fennik expressed concern that we do not become an "elitist" guild. Xerxes noted the need to make sure that interested players are not bots or "merchants" as they usually do not have good gear and a higher item level. The members agreed that we will not become an elitist guild; however they approved this proposal.
Xerxes also noted that the guild calendar only contains two daily dragonflight events. He suggested that the calendar show the weekly events that are usually conducted by the guild. Dusk and Haelirin agreed to work with Xerxes in developing the guild calendar as a way to show new members that we are indeed a very active guild and so that members may plan for these events in advance. The MOTD will announce daily events to enhance participation.
The meeting ended with all Council members congratulating Dusk and Haelirin on their election as guildmasters.
The next meeting is Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2PM EDT.

Xerxes

New Member Code Policy
TEMPLARS:
We've had some problems with our daily Dragonflight and T3 influence runs because new recruits do not know how to participate correctly.
Therefore, new recruits must go to the blog, click on the New Members menu page, and follow directions to the Dragonflight page. At the bottom of the Dragonflight page can be found the NEW MEMBERS CODE. New recruits are to send the code via in-game mail to Xerxes@fidelis#5885 to show that they have viewed the blog.
Promotion from Recruit to Templar rank depends on sending the proper code to Xerxes.
This will take effect immediately. Current recruits must send the code to Xerxes in order to be promoted after their probation period has ended.
Thank your for your participation.
All the best,
Xerxes

MINUTES OF THE ALLIANCE COUNCIL
July 2, 2018 at 4PM EDT
A quorum of guilds was present. Leaders were shown where to find the last meeting minutes on the TS server channel and on the Ghost Templar's website at neverwintertemplars.blogspot.com
The members discussed guidelines and protocols for running the Alliance effectively and efficiently. Both Feygorn and Iceman had prepared documents for this purpose. The members unanimously agreed that Feygorn and Iceman are both to discuss and merge the two documents for presentation to the Council at the next meeting.
A lengthy discuss ensued about guild inactivity and the ways the Alliance could monitor member guilds activity. It was unimously agreed that all member guilds are to post their Guild Activity Log on the TS server in the appropriately indicated channel. Fennik is to post the method for preparing and posting the logs which are to be posted on the 1st and 15th of every month before the monthly meeting.
A few members noted that some players have been abusing Alliance chat by making inappropriate comments and using inappropriate language for a family-friendly chat channel. Guild leaders are to monitor the chat channel and if they see an infraction of the policy they are to contact that person and/or his or her guildmaster.
Feygorn discussed the creation of the Explorer boon structure at Neverwinter Geeks to promote the masterworking professions of Alliance members. As agreed at the June 4th meeting, guild leaders are to encourage their members to donate Heroic shard and other needed resources to the Neverwinter Geeks coffer. 1,900 Heroic shards are needed.
The next meeting of the Council is on Monday, August 6th at 4PM EDT.

TEMPLAR UPDATE: Guildhall Upgrade, Legendary Rank, and TeamSpeak
RANK 20 GUILD!
Thanks to your help and determination, we have finally pushed the upgrade button to become a rank 20 guild. In 12 days we will finish this project when the guildhall upgrade is complete.
However, we still need your help in gathering influence and resources to produce the boon upgrades and boon structures so we can all become even more powerful. Only your continued support will unlock these Stronghold boons.
NEW RANK LEVEL: LEGENDARY
Since the crafting program is no longer existant, we are going to change the crafting rank; that is, rank 5 or Knights Crafter. The new rank, Legendary, will be bestowed upon our members who reach an 18K+ Item Level.
Legendary members have some special benefits: 1) Invite new members to the guild; 2) Doubled the amount of gold and resources that can be withdrawn from the bank; and 3) Attend meetings of the Council of Templars to help grow and empower the guild.
Therefore, the current rank 5 members will all be demoted to their appropriate rank, that is, ranks 2-4. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but this step was necessary since the crafting program is defunct. There are currently no members who have achieved the prestigious Legendary rank.
CHAT ON TEAMSPEAK
Join the fun on Teamspeak and get to know members of the guild and Alliance. You'll also learn alot about the game and your class from TS discussions. Officers in the guild must be on TeamSpeak so if you want to serve the guild as an officer, please join us on TS.

Minutes of the June 4, 2018 Alliance Council Meeting
1) A message should be sent to the guild members about the use of their own guild title.
2) Each guild designee is to send an in-game mail to MrsToons @blondetoon to identify who gets mail for their guild.
3) The inactivity of the new Cult of Luna (CoL) was discussed. There were mixed feelings about removing them for this reason. The Council decided that Fen'nik is to inform CoL's GM of the lack of activity issue and issue warning a warning about removal from the Alliance.
4) Feygorn and MrsToons will prepare the notes from this meeting and put together "draft" protocols for kicking and inviting guilds to the Alliance based on these discussions.
5) The alliance has no guild with the Explorer's Guild building. This is an important structure for players who do the masterwork professions or anyone who wants to make extra AD by opening scroll cases. The Neverwinter Geeks are willing to build the Explorer's Guild to benefit the Alliance should the Council agree to help raise the necessary resources. Feygorn will oversee this process.
6) The next regularly scheduled Alliance Council meeting is July 2, 2018 at 4PM EDT.

Monthly Meeting of the Council of Templars' Minutes
Meeting of the Council of Templars Meeting
July 14, 2017
On Teamspeak
The meeting was called to order at 2PM EDT by Xerxes.
Xerxes reported for Stronghold Director Fennik that the Stronghold development is going ahead as planned. In order to reach our goal of having a rank 16 goal by the end of the year, we will not upgrade the barracks further but instead build an animal pen and upgrade it to rank 7.
We will complete our contract with Tornado of Souls for an exchange of Influence for strongboxes of power within two weeks.
John reported that recruiting has been excellent with GT having 148 members. Xerxes will clean out the roster soon to make room for more transfers from ST.
Xerxes noted that Mrs. Toons was not able to attend for personal reasons. He reported that Fennik has been selling off bank items to raise AD for the stronghold progression. He further noted the gracious donations by guildies to the guild bank, coffer and for TeamSpeak.
Xerxes reported that Thyra was unable to attend for family reasons. The guildmasters have decided to suspend the Crafting program for six months or until Thyra is able to begin her work once again. All the items in the ST and GT banks will be sold on the AH; the AD being used for VIP, strongbox keys and strongboxes of power.
Xerxes reported that the Alliance is sponsoring seminars twice per month. The Tanking seminar was a great success. The seminar schedule thus far is: August: Healing; September: Stronghold Progression; October: Hunter Ranger. He noted that the Alliance is now complete with the addition of 3 new guilds to the Alliance. Ghost Templars is committed to developing strong ties between member guilds.
Haelirin, an ST Guildmaster, was asked to report on Spirit Templars. He noted that the morale is good. He encouraged better communication between GT and ST and suggested the GTST game chat channel be promoted further. Therefore, in the upcoming weeks, a member who signs up for the channel will receive a rank 7 enchantment. Haelirin noted that he'd like to have ST sponsor a dragonflight during the open 11:30AM EDT time slot occasionally.
John suggested that ST members be taken on Experience Bear Runs in the stronghold. He will make a video on how to run such an encounter. Perseus volunteered to run some of these events.
The meeting ended at 3PM EDT.
Respectfully,
Xerxes

Stronghold Update
Dear Templar,
Time for a new stronghold update to inform you about our latest achievements and future plans for the Guild!
Finished upgrades in the May and June 2017:
- Guildhall to rank 14
- Stable to rank 7
- Wizard Workshop to rank 7
- Market Place to rank 7
- Lumberyard to rank 7
- Quarry to rank 7
- Barracks to rank 5
- Smelters Yard to rank 2
Requirements for the upgrade to Guildhall 15:
Warehouse, Mine, Farm and Barracks to rank 7
Our biggest roadblock is and always will be the Conqueror‘s Shards of Power (CSoP) for the Barracks and the POWER BOON.
Aside from winning in PvP, those CSoP can only be aquired from the Maze Engine- and Elemental Evil Campaign as well as from the Stronghold Chest of Power (300 Zen/150.000 AD).
Farming the dailies of both campaigns for 5 days will yield 20 CSoP. Kind of MEH!
1 Stronghold Chest of Power will give 100 of each Heroic- /Adventurer- /Dungeneer- /Conqueror Shards of Power (Total 400).
Opening those Stronghold Chests of Power during a 2x Shards Event will result in a total of 800 Shards of Power per Chest.
That is what we are currently preparing for.
So far we have gathered 80 Stronghold Chests of Power and keep buying them from the AD we receive through your generous Donations! Thank you very much and please keep it coming ;)
Total number of Stronghold Chests of Power required to upgrade the Barracks:
Barracks Total number of Chests
6 42
7 91
8 145
9 204
10 270
Right now there is no 2x Shards Event scheduled in the calendar that means we have over 2 months time to gather as many Stronghold Chests of Power as we can.
You can help by donating Items to the Guild Bank which we will sell to make AD or by directly buying Stronghold Chests of Power and sending them to GTBank@gtbank#2424 where we will store them until the 2x Shards Event.
All the Best,
Xerxes & Fennik

New Guild Goals
Templars:
The following list of goals approved by the Council of Templars shows where we expect the guild to be at the end of the year. We thank you in advance for being part of the journey and helping us achieve our destination :)
