Guild Update

NEW GUILDMASTER

We have 2 new Guild Master, first Dusk and second Haelerin. Both have served the Guild in many many ways. Their efforts and contributions have been invaluable for Ghost Templars and shows that both take the well being of the Guild to their heart.  For those qualities the Council of Templars has promoted them to Guild Master.

Congratulation to you Dusk and to you Haelerin!

COFFER DONATIONS

We don't need INFLUENCE anymore so please donate all your Influence (including Voucher from Strongboxes) to the new Helm Guild Ruathym Corsairs.

We are now in the position to help other Guilds progressing there Stronghold. That means everything what is not marked as red in our own Coffer can be donated to other Guilds, preferably to the Helm Guild.

NEW RECRUITS

All Recruits have to visit our Blog http://neverwintertemplars.blogspot.com/p/new-members.html.
Please follow the instructions given there to become a full member of Ghost Templars.

The purpose is not to populate our Blog even though we want to promote it, the reason is to educate new Player about Dragonflights which are major Alliance Raids on the Stronghold map and to give Player access to valuable information about the Game.

Cheers!
Fennik

GT Finishes Stronghold and Hands Over Alliance Helm Position to RC

WE DID IT!!!

We finally are a rank 20 Guild with maxed out PVE Boons and a rank 10 Marketplace.
All other Structures are secondary and will be ranked up over time.

The Sorcerer Towers at each entrance to our Stronghold were build purely out of asthetic reasons and are my personal icing on the cake. I was happy like a little kid while watching them being constructed.

A big THANK YOU to each and every guild and alliance member for banding together to help build up our glorious Guild Stronghold!

Being done also means WE DON'T NEED INFLUENCE ANYMORE!  So please donate all your Influence to our alliance friends Ruathym Corsairs to help them build there Boon Structures as well.

Since we are done with our Stronghold we are stepping down from the Alliance Helm position and making room for the next guild in line which is Ruathym Corsairs.

For that purpose the Alliance will be restructured Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 7:30pm ET (1:30am central Europe). After disbanding we will reform the Alliance with some changes and on Monday, August 13, everything should be back to normal.

Gratefully,
Fennik

Seminar on Stronghold Development I

Figure 1: The Steward from Nevembers Lackey's on the Preview Shard

Welcome,

This Seminar is meant for everyone who is interested in Managing and Planning a Stronghold in Neverwinter.

Stronghold management includes planning the order of structures you want to build on your stronghold map as well as monitoring and directing the resources required for those Buildings.

In Figure 1 you can see The Steward, he is an important NPC for your Stronghold Development.
By talking to him you can access the Stronghold Overview.

Figure 2: Stronghold Overview , Summary Tab

In Figure 2 you can see the Summary Tab of the Stronghold Overview. Here you‘ll find your current Target and what resources are still needed for its completion. Important to note is that all shown values for the strucures in the Overview already take your Stronghold Alliance Discount into account. Very convenient.
You also see the amount of resources currently stored in your production structures (Farm, Lumberyard, Mine, Quarry).

Figure 3: Stronghold Overview, Construction Tab

Figure 3 is showing the Construction Tab which includes a List of all structures already built on your stronghold map and available Plots for future projects.
By hovering your cursor over a Structure a smaller window will pop up showing you the required resources for the next rank of that building. Again Stronghold Alliance Discount included!

Once you have decided on the next Structure you want to build you can set it as Contribution Target with a click on the button to the bottom of that window. This way your Guildies see what resources are required for their Coffer Donations. You can change the Target as many times as you like.

You can also access this list via your Guild Management Window, but CAUTION the values which are showing here do not include the Stronghold Alliance Discount.

Tending

As mentioned before we have 4 production structures on the stronghold map namely the Farm (Food), Lumberyard (Wood), Mine (Metal) and the Quarry (Stone). Those resources are important for your main buildings but even more so for the Temporary Structures.
All of them have a internal storage capacity which will fill up every 8 hours. Depending on the rank of the Structure and on an exiting support structure that capacity can be increased.
Once they reach capacity they will stop producing resources. So go tend them regularly.
John from Ghost Templars made a video on tending which is linked below.

Resources

There are a lot of diffrent resources required for building structures on the stronghold map. Some of them are prouduced over time (Farm,…) and some can be farmed like the campaign resources, but there are resources which tend to always create a bottleneck for your stronghold progression.
Influence, Shards of Power, Gems and Surplus Equipment will be the most difficult to get resources. Influence and Shards of Power have a daily cap for earning them. Gems are used for refinement and Surplus Equipment helps in earning Astral Diamonds.
Strategies to gather those resources efficiently without cutting into personal gains will be presented and discussed in a later post.

Temporary Structures

With Mod 11.5 we received the option to build temporary structures on stronghold map. If you leave the stronghold through the northwestern tunnel you will arrive at the Millabout Market which presents 4 Plots for the temporary structures. Any temp. Structure will last for 7 days and you can only have one of a kind active at the same time.
We ignore structures which help with Mastercrafting for now and pay closer attention to structures which produce valuable resources for your stronghold coffer, namely the Recruiter and the Gemcutter.

Table 1: Costs for Recruiter and Gemcutter per week without Stronghold Alliance Discount
Structure
Labor
Food
Metal
Stone
Wood
Production/Week
Recruiter
12.000
38.000
27.000
24.000
32.000
16.800 Influence
Gemcutter
23.000

31.000
34.000
40.000
24.000 Gems
Total/Week
35.000
38.000
58.000
58.000
72.000

As you can see in Table 1 temporary structure are basicly exchange buildings were you trade lower valued resources for higher valued ones like Influence and Gems.

The Goal for every Guild still in development should be a constant Uptime of the Recruiter and the Gemcutter to speedup your Stronghold Progression.

With the afore mentioned Goal in mind I suggest the following Roadmap for Stronghold Development. The chosen Boon Structures have a focus on PvE content, but are in my opinion also viable in PvP.

- Warehouse to rank 8
- Market Place to rank 8
- Farm, Lumberyard, Mine , Quarry to rank 8
- one of your Support Structures (Milling Yard, Masonry Guild, Smelters Yard, Animal Pen) to rank 8 Animal Pen would be the cheapest in terms of Shards of power

Guild Hall Rank 17
- Last Boon Plot unlocked: Temple for PvE or Explorer‘s Guild for PvP

With your last Boon Structuer built there is only one big goal left Guild Hall Rank 20 and that road is pretty straight foward.

Stronghold Update

Dear Templar,

Time for a new stronghold update to inform you about our latest achievements and future plans for the Guild!

Finished upgrades in the May and June 2017:

- Guildhall to rank 14
- Stable to rank 7
- Wizard Workshop to rank 7
- Market Place to rank 7
- Lumberyard to rank 7
- Quarry to rank 7
- Barracks to rank 5
- Smelters Yard to rank 2

Requirements for the upgrade to Guildhall 15:

Warehouse, Mine, Farm and Barracks to rank 7

Our biggest roadblock is and always will be the Conqueror‘s Shards of Power (CSoP) for the Barracks and the POWER BOON.

Aside from winning in PvP, those CSoP can only be aquired from the Maze Engine- and Elemental Evil Campaign as well as from the Stronghold Chest of Power (300 Zen/150.000 AD).

Farming the dailies of both campaigns for 5 days will yield 20 CSoP. Kind of MEH!

1 Stronghold Chest of Power will give 100 of each Heroic- /Adventurer- /Dungeneer- /Conqueror Shards of Power (Total 400).

Opening those Stronghold Chests of Power during a 2x Shards Event will result in a total of 800 Shards of Power per Chest.

That is what we are currently preparing for.

So far we have gathered 80 Stronghold Chests of Power and keep buying them from the AD we receive through your generous Donations! Thank you very much and please keep it coming ;)

Total number of Stronghold Chests of Power required to upgrade the Barracks:

Barracks       Total number of Chests
      6                       42
      7                       91
      8                     145
      9                     204
    10                     270

Right now there is no 2x Shards Event scheduled in the calendar that means we have over 2 months time to gather as many Stronghold Chests of Power as we can.
You can help by donating Items to the Guild Bank which we will sell to make AD or by directly buying Stronghold Chests of Power and sending them to GTBank@gtbank#2424 where we will store them until the 2x Shards Event.

All the Best,
Xerxes & Fennik

We can only get the boons you desire with your help!

Templars:

You've probably noticed that the Templar community is growing stronger every day. We can do T3's so quickly and down 3-4 dragons daily. Awesome!

We benefit greatly from the boons we receive from our Stronghold: Power, Armor Pen, Defense, Hit Points, Mount Speed and Experience. We plan on adding two more boons by the end of the year.

Building up the Stronghold means more boons and stronger Templars.

To do this, we need your help via gifts to the coffer and the bank. You know how the coffer works. But perhaps you don't know how we use the gifts you send to GTBank or deposit into the bank.

These gifts are used as contest prizes; given to members who can benefit from them; or sold on the Auction House to raise astral diamonds.

We use the astral diamonds to purchase strongbox keys so you can open up strongboxes of influence (be sure to ask Fennik or Xerxes for a key when you get one!). We also use them to purchase stronghold strongboxes sold for Zen on the Zen market when they are on sale or with one of those yellow coupons. These are then opened during double shard weekends so we get double the number of those difficult to acquire conqueror shards.

We can only get the boons you desire with your help.

Please consider gifting the guild with something you don't need at least once a week with artifacts, epic equipment and weapons, gems, and unbound rare and epic rings that drop during runs. Even profession resources!

Thank you for considering this request for your gracious support.  We appreciate all that you do for the guild and hope you will continue to support our Stronghold development which becomes more and more expensive as we proceed.

All the best,
Fennik and Xerxes

On Cheating and Botting...

Templars:

There have been some recent developments within the Neverwinter gaming community that deserve our attention and response.

Many players have been banned from the game for cheating.  Buying astral diamonds and in-game resources from third party vendors and botting are the main ways people cheat on Neverwinter.

Just recently two major guilds had their ranks and leadership decimated due to permanent bans being placed on some of their members who were caught cheating.

We do not want this to happen in the Templar community!

Therefore, the Council of Templars (the Marshalls and Guildmasters) revised the guild guidelines under section 3 on Respect to read:

"We are a respectful guild. Vulgarity and inappropriate behavior is not acceptable. Cheaters and botters will be kicked from the guild."

Have a great time playing the game!

All the best,
Fennik and Xerxes

[A] You can switch to the new Channel by typing /gtst and press Spacebar, each time the focus is not on GTST.

[B] You can create a chat tab with the sprocket, and permanently turn on GTST in it.  Go to the chat bubble in the lower left corner of the chat window, and put a check in the box for GTST.  This is the same as [A], but you just leave that tab permanently on GTST.

Transfer Astral Diamonds between Characters

How to Transfer Astral Diamonds

You want to go on a shopping spree for your main character but you can't because your riches (AD) are spread over many Alts?
Well here is a practical and easy option to gather all your AD on one character.

Note: The following method only works for characters on the same account!

Astral Diamond to Zen exchange

1. Open the Astral Diamond Exchange

2. We use the buy Zen (A) for Astral Diamonds (B
option to transfer the desired amount of
Astral Diamonds (C) from one character to the
account wide Exchange Balance following
the equation: A x B = C
It is recommended to adjust A to reach the desired C.
If you adjust B instead be careful the value is
always smaller than the current Unit Price in the
Top ZEN Listings.
Otherwise your Astral Diamonds could be exchanged to ZEN and that is not the goal here.

3. After you reached the desired value for C press the Post button.

4. Switch to Listings with a simple click on the Tab

5. Now you can see the exchange request you just posted.
Press on the Cancel button to stop that request.

6. Switch back to the Buy Zen Tab.

7. At the bottom of the window you now see your
Exchange Balance and the stored Astral Diamonds.

The Exchange Balance is account wide accessible.
It holds ZEN and Astral Diamonds.

You can now log in to your Main or the Alt on which you wish to spend/store the Astral Diamonds.
Press on the Withdraw button to open the Exchange Balance.

Here you see the Balance storage and can now decide whether to withdraw all or just some of the stored currencies.

With a final press on the OK button the desired amount of Astral Diamonds will be transferred to the personal character storage.

Note: Any new exchange request you place will first draw currency form the storage of the Balance. So include that in your calculation when you place a new order, or always empty it beforehand.

All the Best,
Fennik

On the way to the Power Boon...

Dear Templars,

Just four more days and the Ghost Templar's Guildhall will be Rank 13. Once it flips we want to start building the Barracks and upgrade that to Rank 3 right away.

That will unlock the POWER BOON for us!!!

For that Goal we need to gather the following resources:

Surplus Equipment : 17K more
Gems : 25K more
Frozen Treasures : 4.3K more

It would be amazing if we would achieve that in the next four days!

All the Best,
Xerxes & Fennik
