Recruitment

Welcome to Ghost Templars
#1 Priority: "GT wants you to have fun"

Ghost Templars is a casual guild, meaning we are not competitively trying to level the stronghold at a break-neck pace.  So instead of putting a lot of donation requirements on the GT members, we simply encourage you to contribute influence, shards, and other items to the guild coffer.  Some guilds will require daily contributions to keep your membership.  GT wants you to have fun, and simply contribute when you are able.  Of course the more we contribute, the more stronghold boons we acquire, the more awesome boons you acquire!

"Guilds basically bring people together"

Some players are familiar with guilds from Neverwinter or other games.  Guilds basically bring people together for small communities and friendships.  The guilds can then get together daily and run activities and events together, and work on common goals that yield benefits to the whole group.  So being in a guild is  a super big advantage.  Usually by character level 60 or 70, players realize that they actually need a guild to progress in the game.  Each guild has a coffer (treasure chest) where influence, shards, and other items are donated to rank up the guild stronghold.  This is how the guild stronghold level is ranked up, and boons are gained for the entire guild membership!  This is why players realize they need a guild, because they need or want those incredibly awesome guild boons.

"Casual and family-friendly"

GT is "casual and family-friendly."  See teamspeak / chat below.  We all intermingle and enjoy the game together.  It is not uncommon to party-up with your fellow guildies and play the game, or get some assistance.  Speed leveling, getting through that tricky or difficult campaign task, or running dungeons, it is nice to have friends that can bring dps, buffs, and other goodness.  Please place your item level on the guild roster, in the member comments section.

STRONGHOLD BOONS

This stronghold is now rank 20 and we now have the following guild boons:

Armor Penetration bonus
Enhance Overload: Ward
Defense Bonus
Hit Points Bonus
Mount Speed Bonus
Healing Potion Bonus
Power Bonus
Incoming Healing Bonus
Lifesteal
Experience
Group Heal Potion
Revive Sickness
Healing Potion Bonus

By belonging to GT, you get all these boons and you activate one in each category by clicking C to bring up your character sheet, selecting the Boons tab, and scrolling down on the left margin to Guild Stronghold.  You will not receive any boons until you do this, and you can change them around at will, whenever you want.

While in-game, press G and go to Events tab to see the guild calendar.

ALLIANCE

Pressing G will bring up your guild management window and you will see a tab called alliance.  These are the other guilds in our alliance.  Most are PVE, but a few are PVP focused.  Most guilds have players of both types.  Our alliance runs different activities throughout the day.  This means you can run many dragonflights throughout the day.  We all work together to strengthen our guilds, and have fun together.  Be sure to turn on alliance chat (see below), because this is how you will see a ton of helpful invites.  This is where you can ask for in-game help, advice, etc. Please use the GT guild title and not the alliance host title, (C)haracter sheet, History tab, UNCHECK "Use Alliance Title."

Alliance rules require anyone thinking of switching  guilds within the alliance to first discuss it with top level guild leaders from each of the respective guilds.  It is not permissible for guilds to poach from others.
We now belong to the Ruathym Corsairs Alliance. When the helm guild reaches level 20 and completes all boon structures, the helm position is given to the next highest level guild.

CHAT

In game chat is super helpful.  Your chat window, press ENTER to bring it up or click on it, has some chat tabs, e.g. party, guild, etc.  You can create custom chats to keep things clean in your chat window, or run all your chats through just one channel.  You will see a sprocket in the upper left of the chat window. Click this to manage and create chats.  This is where you can turn on your alliance chat.  This is important, because you will need to see the conversation going on across all the guilds in the alliance.  It is where you will get invites, dragon flight orders/instructions, etc.  Everyone needs this turned on, either in a dedicated chat tab or turned on in an existing tab.  Please keep the chat family friendly.

TEAMSPEAK

If you want to elevate your game play and social aspect then you definitely want to use the app from teamspeak3.com to communicate to the guild members and alliance.  It is not required, but you can simply speak to others and not type so much.  When running dungeons, dragon flights, and other tasks it speeds up the game play.  Also, if you need help with anything this is the number one place to get it.  It is easier to have a five minute conversation while playing the game, get multiple players' input, than typing a novel out.  There are two modes of operating TS, active voice and push-to-talk.  You can use it with a headset or without.  With a headset you can use voice activate (hands free) and just talk over your mic with no background noise getting in the way.  You can also push-to-talk with a headset if preferred.  If you don't have a headset, and do have a microphone/speakers you can push-to-talk, thus keeping the background noise off the channel.  To use TS download the app from the website below, login and ask for help if needed.  It is awesome, awesome, awesome. Just like the text chat, please keep it family friendly.
