Top Ten Tips for Leading The Dragon Flight

Top Ten Tips For Leading The Dragon Flight

1. All dragons that are targets must be brought to death within one minute of each other. The trick is to have kill teams in place to bring dragons from 10-15% to 1%, until you give kill command. At the latest, give this kill command with 35 seconds time remaining as this will give you a little extra time.

2. Red Dragon is the easiest and is where you should always start the bulk of the raid (any mix of players is fine for red).

3. Green dragon requires a tank, healer, and three DPS (mix of melee and ranged).

4. Black dragon requires a healer, tank, and three strong ranged DPS. Remind everyone that if they die at black they will need to release and run back. Also, each time someone dies a wraith spawns which you simply kite around until it disappears.

5. Blue dragon does several AOE attacks. Therefore, you will need a very strong and skilled tank, a healer, and three DPS (any mix of ranged and/or melee as the AOE will reach entire area). Remind people to always let tank get aggro first as it limits AOE’s from the dragon.

6. Kill team for each dragon can consist of one strong DPS, except the blue dragon. The initial five man team is a good idea to limit failure.

7. Ideally you would have five players at Green, Black, and everyone else would start Red then go Blue at 10% red dragon health.

8. Flexibility and communication are key. USE TEAMSPEAK. This is a very effective tool to communicate with dragon teams.

9. Get to know your alliance, this will allow you to easily form teams in short order that will give you the best chance at maximum rewards. This also will let you know who you can lean on to help form parties for dragons (which gives you less to micro manage).

10. Watch all dragons health bars on the right hand of the screen, when you have many strong players keep in mind that their dots hit harder the less life a dragon has remaining, so you may need to call switches and stop DPSing earlier than anticipated.
