Dragonflight

Templar Dragonflight occurs daily.

The DF is followed by a T3 (Tier 3) influence run.

1) Any level member may participate in the Dragonflight (DF). Please arrive 10 minutes before the DF starts for organizational purposes.  You need at least 5 players on the map to start the DF.

2) The dragons appear when called by a "golden bell"(which cost zen) OR by the traveling wizard who arrives at the Stronghold every 2 hours.  Do not touch the stronghold wizard during the organizational time as you may accidentally activate the dragons before the teams are ready.

3) There are four dragons, the red and green dragons being the easiest; and the blue and black dragons the most difficult.  The Red Dragon, Katatheo The Proud, fires out multiple fireballs in the surrounding area. The Green Dragon, Oxuno The Treacherous, spews out a poisonous smog that covers the entire area inflicting constant poison damage. The Blue Dragon, Chrysos The Vain, will inflict major damage to everyone in the area if it kills its target. The Black Dragon, Ekdos The Cruel, has an acidic bite eats away at adventurer's damage resistance. Also, when a player dies Ekdos summons his ghostly minions from your dead body to haunt your guild members.

4) Every dragon occasionally spawns a Dragon Empowerer that greatly increases that dragon's damage as long as the empowerer is alive. Some players will be directed to kill empowerers.

5) If  20+ players attack a dragon it goes immune.  If this becomes an issue, move to a different dragon, or have the ranged players back away from the area of battle and only hit the empowerers at range.

6) When one dragon is defeated, the other three dragons dissappear within one minute. Thus, we must move quickly from one dragon to another as directed in Alliance chat.

7) Players need to maximize their efforts by getting as many buffs as possible, particularly the dragon scrolls (decreases damage from dragons) and potions (increases damage to dragons). The scrolls and potions are available in the first tab of the guild bank. You can farm them in the Well of Dragons dragon runs.

8) Follow the directives given in Alliance chat concerning the DF. Keep your eye on Alliance chat always. STOP killing dragons when ordered and KILL them as directed. Usually, when a dragon has about 10% health a STOP order will be given, everyone moves, and a small kill team stays behind.  This percentage can very, but by keeping the dragon alive, it gives us more time to weaken the others. The more dragons we kill simultaneously, the more dragon fangs we earn.  If you have questions about the DF, please ask them in Guild Chat only. During the Dragonflight, please DO NOT CHAT IN ALLIANCE CHAT UNLESS NECESSARY OR DIRECTED TO DO SO.

We are grateful to the following Battlemasters who lead us into battle: Dusk, Fennik, and Lia.
Please listen to their directions.

Please contact a guild's master for more information on the Dragonflight.

BATTLE MASTER STRATEGIES

Be sure not to send more than 20 players to a dragon, or it will go immune.  Plan on late comers just showing up to red.  At 20% on a dragon, get to a safe place so that you can alliance chat instructions at 10%.  If you hesitate DOTs (damage over time) powers may accidentally kill a dragon.

KILL TEAMS should take over at 10%, unless they tell you otherwise.  Some players are strong enough to solo kill it at 10%, 15% and even more.  So do ask them what they can do.

RED is the easiest, so it is good to have the alliance start there.

BLUE is the most difficult and you need a good tank to keep it occupied or blue will easily kill everyone more than usual.

GREEN has a poison that causes a lot of people problems.  Send a tank, cleric, and dps

BLACK has a wicked AOE and the red death souls cause havok.  You need plenty of ranged dps and tank.  A cleric is also a good add for the kill team.

TYPICAL PATTERNS

For smaller groups under 20, RED, GREEN, BLACK.  This requires full map travel time, but it is the safest bet.

For larger groups over 20, one group RED to BLUE, the other GREEN to BLACK.

For larger groups over 20, one group RED to BLUE, one small group GREEN, one small group BLACK.  If a small group finishes, leave one or two to kill team it, the rest to BLUE.

There are plenty of other patterns, but these are the most common.

It takes time to get to know which players in the alliance are capable of soloing a kill, or working within a kill team.  When in doubt, ask them.  It is especially nice if your kill team leaders are on TeamSpeak, so that you can verbally give them instructions, gain their help if needed, etc.

Have fun!
