Ghost Templars is now a level 13 Guild!

Dear Templars:

Today we finally started the Ghost Templars Guildhall upgrade to Rank 13!

Thank you all for your support of our Stronghold.

The upgrade will take 12 days to finish and during that time we can start gathering resources for  our POWER BOON!

With reaching Guildhall 13 we unlock the third Boon plot on the Stronghold map on which we will build the Barracks.

The first 2 Ranks on the Barracks will unlock the XP Bonus Boon for our Guild and on the 3rd Rank we can add the Power Boon to our collection.

To upgrade the Barracks to Rank 3 we need a total of the following Resources in our coffer:

Gold :                        770
Influence :                  210,000
Surplus Equipment :     155,000
Gems :                       131,000
Frozen Treasures :        100,000
Treasures of Tyranny :  180,000
Conqueror Shards :      10,200

We can do this!!!

All the Best,
Xerxes & Fennik
Guildmasters, Ghost Templars

Keybinds

Keybinding is an easy way to accomplish some repetitive tasks in the game. Here are the keybinds that I like to use and where I've put them. You can keybind just about any action in the game and the links that follow reveal a lot.  Just type the keybind into your chat window.

/bind F5 gensendMessage Vipaction_Overworldmapteleport activate
/bind F6 gensendMessage Vipaction_Salvager activate
/bind F7 gensendMessage Vipaction_Professionvendor activate
/bind F8 gensendMessage Vipaction_Bankvendor activate
/bind CTRL+F5 gensendMessage Vipaction_Mailbox activate
/bind F4 gensendmessage Pets_Summon_Unsummon_Button Clicked

Or if you prefer to bring up the VIP selector menu:
/bind # gensendmessage Vipaction_Root 1

Notice that keybind below for the follow command is normally typed in chat as "/follow", but for keybinding it is just in quotes without the slash. This is true for all the slash commands.

/bind CTRL+Q "follow" or /bind CTRL+Q "mount 1$$follow"
/bind CTRL+F6 "unlit 1"
/bind CTRL+F7 "unlit 0"

Programmed in TeamSpeak (not Neverwinter)
F9 Toggle Microphone Mute On/Off
F10 Toggle Away Status On/Off
F11 Toggle Speaker Mute On/Off

Devoted Clerics Only
This is the keybind for exultation and it is binding to Q.  Notice you must type in the exact player name that you want to force exultation to, in this case Jannus Skinbrother.
/bind q "Hardtargetlock 1 $$ target "Jannus Skinbrother" $$ +PowerTrayExec 2 $$ Hardtargetlock 0"
When finished with it, use:
/unbind q

Remember to Save them to your character: ESC, Options, Interface tab, "Save UI" button at the bottom

Helpful Links

Your keybinds are character bound, so you will have to copy/paste them to each character and then same the UI too.

Crafting Gems

Stronghold Coffer Resources

We donate gems to the our guild coffer, and sometimes we purchase stacks of 99 with AD to donate as well.  However, we need a lot more.  A great way to make substantial donations is to craft them, but a few things are needed to make this happen and you can see these requirements below.  However, if one upgrades the person to purple Grandmaster Jewelcrafter and upgrades to a purple asset, the yield will be higher and they will craft faster!

If you want to help the guild, but don't have the Grandmaster or purple assets, that's okay.  Our crafting team can get the job done!  Just send any gems (raw, sem-precious, precious, perfect), and leather strips (exotic or abberant) to @tselung (or @nevertoad if Thyra's email is full).  You can find them by going to your Inventory, Profession Resources, and attaching them to a mail message or trading them to the desired person. We can start cranking these gems out and get our guild hall upgraded much, much faster.

Minutes of the April 7th Meeting of the Council of Templars

Council of Templars Meeting Minutes
April 7, 2017

There was a quorum of Templars present. Xerxes noted that Mrs. Toons will not attend as she is tending to Mr Toons. Ebb and Flow could not participate due to work schedule.

Each member shared their work on behalf of the guild.  Xerxes noted that he had created the Neverwinter Templars blog which receives approximately 10-15 readers a day. Besides general administrative work for the guild and alliance, Xerxes noted that he has been very busy recruting for Spirit Templars and will continue to do so as necessary.

Fennik explained the contract we have with Tornado of Souls for trading influence for Tyrannies of Treasure.  He noted that the Stronghold building is going according to plan and that this and future contracts will enable us to reach projections and the power boon. His report is published on the guild blog.

Crolm shared how he recruited White Dragon Knights to the Alliance. He also indicated that negotiations are taking place for the-soon-to-be-open new position when Saviours Hearts is kicked from the Alliance for inactivity. Crolm suggested that appropriate gratefulness be given to those that helped with the negotiations of hopefully both contracts. Xerxes will send a thank you note on behalf of both guilds.

Thyra shared her work with the Craft Program/Store. She is diligent in sending us monthly reports that show that between approximately 5-10% of the membership receive assistance from the craft program each month. She inquired about how to better recognize the major donors to the program. Xerxes said he would publish their names on the Guild Update each month and also, send a thank you note on behalf of the guilds with a small present.

John reported that recruiting has been going well. He requested that the level 30 eligibility requirement for Spirits Templars be lowered to 25. The Council agreed.

Discussion ensued about the lack of battlemasters to conduct the daily dragonflight.

The next meeting of the Council is Friday, May 5, 2017; 1PM EST.

Respectfully submitted,
Xerxes

Report on Our Current Goals

The Council of Templars approved the following Spring goals on January 7, 2017. As you will read, the guild has realistic, achievable and measurable goals to guide us in our speedy development.

SPRING GOALS to be completed by June 30, 2017:

1)  Develop the Stronghold to guild level 13; (We can do this!)

2)  Offer two educational seminars (on healing, class builds, etc.) to the Alliance and members; (In planning)

3)  Have 25% of members with 3.0+ ilvl; (Accomplished, 40% of all members have 3K+ IL)

4)  Strengthen the Craft Store Program and serve 15 members; (on-going)

5)  Conduct two daily dragonflight runs and two daily T3 runs; (terminated - one DF is best for the guild at this time)

6)  Conduct bi-weekly fun guild activities to provide valuable items to help members in their game progression;

7)  Rebuild the website on a better server; (completed)

8)  Revise the Marshall system and re-elect new Marshalls with a six month service contract; (completed)

9) Have 20 more members join TeamSpeak. (in-progress)

These goals show what to expect from the guild through Spring.

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help the guild achieve these goals, please contact Crolm, Fennik or Xerxes.

All the best,
Xerxes

A Blast Out of the Past

The following guild letter is dated March 12, 2016: the day of the first ever Ghost Templars' Dragonflight. We were damn proud to have killed one dragon with 30 players! Now look at us making dragon fillets every night...
______________________

What  a gathering of Templars!

More than 30 Templars joined together to down the Stronghold Dragons today; the most Templars ever assembled in our short four month history.

We fought a hard battle and downed one of the four Dragonflight creatures that terrorize our Stronghold.  While we were not able to slay all four beasts, we learned some techniques for future encounters.

One thing we did learn is that communication is key to mobilize such a large gathering.  It would be a great help if members were able to be on TeamSpeak for such endeavors. For the next encounter, we will make sure that at least the group leaders will be on TeamSpeak to better coordinate the battle.

Special thanks to Blazin Holy for leading the troops into battle; and to Darlyn for providing the Golden Bells to summon the dragons.

Another Dragonflight encounter is being planned for next week.  Stay tuned...

All the best,
Xerxes

Top Ten Tips for Leading The Dragon Flight

Top Ten Tips For Leading The Dragon Flight

1. All dragons that are targets must be brought to death within one minute of each other. The trick is to have kill teams in place to bring dragons from 10-15% to 1%, until you give kill command. At the latest, give this kill command with 35 seconds time remaining as this will give you a little extra time.

2. Red Dragon is the easiest and is where you should always start the bulk of the raid (any mix of players is fine for red).

3. Green dragon requires a tank, healer, and three DPS (mix of melee and ranged).

4. Black dragon requires a healer, tank, and three strong ranged DPS. Remind everyone that if they die at black they will need to release and run back. Also, each time someone dies a wraith spawns which you simply kite around until it disappears.

5. Blue dragon does several AOE attacks. Therefore, you will need a very strong and skilled tank, a healer, and three DPS (any mix of ranged and/or melee as the AOE will reach entire area). Remind people to always let tank get aggro first as it limits AOE’s from the dragon.

6. Kill team for each dragon can consist of one strong DPS, except the blue dragon. The initial five man team is a good idea to limit failure.

7. Ideally you would have five players at Green, Black, and everyone else would start Red then go Blue at 10% red dragon health.

8. Flexibility and communication are key. USE TEAMSPEAK. This is a very effective tool to communicate with dragon teams.

9. Get to know your alliance, this will allow you to easily form teams in short order that will give you the best chance at maximum rewards. This also will let you know who you can lean on to help form parties for dragons (which gives you less to micro manage).

10. Watch all dragons health bars on the right hand of the screen, when you have many strong players keep in mind that their dots hit harder the less life a dragon has remaining, so you may need to call switches and stop DPSing earlier than anticipated.

Please share your suggestions in the comments area.  For more information, please feel free to contract Fennik in-game.
